Online Psychotherapy for Expatriates
The internet allows us to offer online psychotherapy for expatriates living anywhere in the world. Choosing a psychologist who is sensitive to your cultural codes can greatly enhance the therapeutic process.
Regardless of the reason for immigrating, there is always the idea that life will improve in the host country. However, the journey of those who leave their homeland in search of better living conditions is filled with challenges, and taking care of mental health helps overcome these difficulties.
The immigrant gives up many things: home, family, friends, job, traditions, and customs. Each culture provides the individual with elements through which they perceive and navigate the world, giving meaning to their experiences. When migrating, the individual loses cultural reference points and becomes exposed to vulnerability in the host country, encountering significant linguistic, social, and cultural barriers. In this context, the individual needs to psychologically reorganize to face all challenges, and doing so alone is often a very complicated and painful mission.
To help with these challenges, I offer online therapy for adults, children, adolescents, and intercultural couples.

Some common issues faced by adult and child immigrants include: anxiety, low self-esteem, discrimination, difficulty adapting to the new culture and environment at work or school, language learning barriers, depression, xenophobia, bullying, excessive irritability, and feelings of loneliness, among others.
